Contact Council – Vote Yes on Public Power

The city of Ann Arbor is considering two resolutions that will help push public power forward in Ann Arbor. The first is approving a bid from NewGen Strategies and Solutions to conduct a phase 2 feasibility study. The second outlines the city’s path moving forward, which include releasing a Request for Proposal for a legal analysis which will prepare the city’s litigation strategy for acquisition of DTE’s assets, and directs council to put two questions on the ballot in 2026. The first question will start the acquisition proceedings, the second will fund the legal fight. With DTE recently releasing it’s phony study intending to scare Ann Arborites into voting against their best interest, ridding themselves of DTE, it’s more important than ever to make our voices heard and encourage council to take the next steps on municipalization.

Name(Required)
We have prepared a draft email for you to send to your representative, but please provide your own edits. Personalized emails are always most effective! For instance, consider adding your own reasons why you want to dump DTE. There is no need to address the city council members or the mayor, this form will automatically email all of them and will properly add Dear (Council Member) and Thank you (Your name).
